Mascara Literary Review, previously Mascara Poetry, is now seeking fiction submissions and essays from and about Asia (as opposed to only poetry).

Mascara Literary Review is an online literary journal particularly interested in the work of contemporary Asian (as well as Australian and Indigenous) writers.  It welcomes writing from different ethnicities and cultures that offer new ways of seeing and being. We’re interested in the way Australia looks out and upwards, to Asia, and the way Asia and other regions return the gaze.
