Fan Dai
Fan Dai is Chair of the Department of English, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. She began to teach a Creative Nonfiction course to sophomores majoring in English in Sept. 2009. She started her undergraduate study in English in 1980 and earned a PhD degree in linguistics from the same university. She is teaching creative nonfiction writing by combining the use of linguistic theories and writing techniques.
She has written mainly in Chinese, and is the author of one biography, three collections of essays. She published a novel in English in 2000, and is attempting to write more nonfiction in English.
